Common symptoms are breast enlargement, pain, asymmetry, lump in the breast or armpit, overlying skin rash, hardening of the breast or a large fluid collection around the breast. It is very crucial to get your periodic examinations done after your surgery as well as to practice regular self-examination of your breasts as instructed. If you experience any of these symptoms, you should see your doctor as soon as possible. BIA-ALCL is treatable when diagnosed early and often requires removal of the implant.
