Cosmetic Treatments

Read below for pre-op and aftercare instructions for your preferred Cosmetic Treatment in Turkey.

Prior to your cosmetic treatment in Turkey

You should:
-Inform your surgeon (and CTT representative) about any medication you regularly use and any health problems as well as any allergies you have. Prior to the video consultation, you will be asked to fill in a medical history form in which you should mention all of these accurately. Your treatment plan will be based on this form.

-Inform your surgeon (and CTT representative) if your menstrual period comes up to the surgery date.

-Stop smoking at least 15 days before. 1 month before is highly advised. 

-Stop consuming alcohol at least 15 days before.

-Stop taking anti inflammatory medications or any blood thinners such as aspirin at least 15 days before since they may increase the risk of bleeding. 

-Stop taking multivitamins including vitamin A ve E at least 15 days before since they may increase the risk of bleeding. 

-Stop drinking herbal teas at least 15 days before since they may increase the risk of bleeding. 

-Stop eating blood thinner fruits such as cherry at least 15 days before since they may increase the risk of bleeding. 

In addition to the instructions above,

Prior to mommy makeover surgery, you should maintain yourself a help for childcare since you will not be able to do it properly for the first weeks after your surgery. This is highly advised. 

Prior to tummy tuck surgery, to stop smoking 2 months before is highly advised. 

Please keep in mind that thread lift can not be performed in case you have any virus infection and has to be cancelled.

To maintain a good aftercare for breast augmentation surgery

You should:

-Closely follow your surgeon’s post-op instructions.

-Use the medications, ointments and bandages as instructed.

-Restrict your arm movements at least for 7 days after your surgery.

-Wear your medical support bra for at least 4-6 weeks after your surgery.

-Rest at home if your surgeon instructs you to do so. 

-Avoid sun exposure for at least 1 month after your surgery, especially if it is summer.

You should NOT:

-Take a shower at least for 3 days after your surgery unless your surgeon instructs you to do otherwise. 

-Drive a vehicle at least for 7 days after your surgery.

-Lift or carry anything heavy at least for 7 days after your surgery.

-Stretch to get something from a high place at least for 7 days after your surgery.

-Wear any bra other than your medical support bra for at least 4-6 weeks after your surgery.

-Do any unusual or strenuous sports and activities for at least 4-6 weeks after your surgery to avoid any trauma or damage to your breasts.

To maintain a good aftercare for breast uplift

You should:

-Closely follow your surgeon’s post-op instructions.

-Use the medications, ointments and bandages as instructed.

-Restrict your arm movements at least for 7 days after your surgery.

-Wear your medical support bra for at least 4-6 weeks after your surgery.

-Rest at home if your surgeon instructs you to do so. 

-Wait at least 3 weeks to slowly start cardio workouts. 

-Avoid sun exposure for at least 1 month after your surgery, especially if it is summer.

You should NOT:

-Take a shower at least for 5 days after your surgery unless your surgeon instructs you to do otherwise. 

-Drive a vehicle at least for 7 days after your surgery.

-Lift or carry anything heavy at least for 7 days after your surgery.

-Stretch to get something from a high place at least for 7 days after your surgery.

-Wear any bra other than your medical support bra for at least 4-6 weeks after your surgery.

-Do any unusual or strenuous sports and activities for at least 6 weeks after your surgery to avoid any trauma or damage to your breasts.

To maintain a good aftercare following breast reduction

You should:

-Restrict your arm movements at least for 7-10 days after your surgery.

-Spend a lot of time sitting in front of a computer.

-Wear any bra other than your medical support bra for at least 4-6 weeks after your surgery.

-Do any unusual or strenuous sports and activities for at least 6 weeks after your surgery to avoid any trauma or damage to your breasts.

To maintain a good laser lipo aftercare

You should:

-Closely follow your surgeon’s post-op instructions.

-Keep your movements minimal in the 1st day. 

-Wear your medical compression garment for at least 4-6 weeks after your surgery.

-Rest at home if your surgeon instructs you to do so. 

-Wait to take a shower at least for 2 days after your surgery unless your surgeon instructs you to do otherwise.

-Restrict your arm movements at least for 3-5 days after your surgery.

You should NOT:

-Take a shower at least for 2 days after your surgery unless your surgeon instructs you to do otherwise. 

-Do any unusual or strenuous sports and activities for at least 3 weeks after your surgery to avoid any trauma or damage to your breasts.

To maintain a good aftercare for mommy makeover

You should:

-Closely follow your surgeon’s post-op instructions.

-Use the medications, ointments and bandages as instructed.

-Walk as leaning forward for at least 10 days after your surgery.

-Restrict your arm movements at least for 3 weeks after your surgery.

-Wear your medical garments for at least 4-6 weeks after your surgery.

-Rest at home if your surgeon instructs you to do so. 

-Avoid sun exposure for at least 1 month after your surgery, especially if it is summer.

You should NOT:

-Take a shower at least for 4 days after your surgery unless your surgeon instructs you to do otherwise. 

-Do the housework or childcare for at least 2-3 weeks after your surgery.

-Lift or carry anything heavy, even your child at least for 2-3 weeks after your surgery.

-Stretch to get something from a high place at least for 7 days after your surgery.

-Wear any bra other than your medical support bra for at least 4-6 weeks after your surgery.

-Do any unusual or strenuous sports and activities for at least 6 weeks after your surgery to avoid any trauma or damage to your breasts. 

-Take anti inflammatory medications or any blood thinners such as aspirin at least 1 week after your surgery.

To maintain a good aftercare for rhinoplasty

You should:

-Closely follow your surgeon’s post-op instructions.

-Use your prescribed cleansing serums and ointments as instructed. 

-Rest at home if your surgeon instructs you to do so. 

-Avoid activities that require excessive effort and increase your blood pressure  such as jogging, swimming and sexual activities for 2-3 weeks.

-Protect your nose from any damage or trauma at least for 1 month.

-Avoid sun beam for 2 months. 

You should NOT:

-Take a shower until your nasal splint is taken out. You can wash your body below your neck. 

-Lift or carry anything heavy, even your child at least for 2-3 weeks after your surgery.

-Stretch to get something from a high place at least for 7 days after your surgery.

-Do any unusual or strenuous sports and activities for at least 6 weeks after your surgery to avoid any trauma or damage.

-Wear glasses as long as instructed by your surgeon.

To maintain a good aftercare for tummy tuck

You should:

-Closely follow your surgeon’s post-op instructions.

-Use the medications, ointments and bandages as instructed.

-Walk as leaning forward for at least 7 days after your surgery.

-Wear your medical garments for at least 4-6 weeks after your surgery.

-Rest at home if your surgeon instructs you to do so. 

-Keep in mind that the scars may heal in a dark color if you smoke. 

You should NOT:

-Take a shower at least for 3 days after your surgery unless your surgeon instructs you to do otherwise. 

-Lift or carry anything heavy, even your child at least for 2-3 weeks after your surgery.

-Stretch to get something from a high place at least for 7 days after your surgery.

-Do any unusual or strenuous sports and activities for at least 6 weeks after your surgery to avoid any trauma or damage.
